New Dominion podcast
Brent Finnegan -- April 18th, 2007
For those of us living in iWorld, a local news podcast seems long overdue. Chris and Crystal at The New Dominion have started a weekly podcast of Valley and Virginia news. The podcast debuted on Monday, in the midst of the breaking VT shooting media frenzy, but I figured it’s worth pointing out now.
And speaking of iWhatever, Harrisonburg is getting a Mac retail and service store. Coming soon to 182 Neff Avenue.

With SMAD students at JMU and the 15 or so Macs sitting around me, BlueRidgeMac sounds like they might have a pretty good customer base. I can’t wait to check out their store.
I hope I hope I HOPE they do astonishingly well and attract an Apple store to the area! :)
Whats the difference between an Apple store and a Mac Retail and service store?
An Apple Store is owned by Apple Inc. and offers free workshops, a genius bar for tech help, loads of stuff, and usually very cool designs. A Mac Retail store is owned by someone else, and sells Apple products.
I am iStoked about a mac store hitting the area. There is plenty of support for Apple business locally.
iRighteous.
The store is set to open May 12. I’m in discussions with the owner about inside/outside sales for her. We had a long chat in Woodville on Tuesday…she may be there today. Since I’m the only member of the Apple Consultant’s Network in the area, we’d be a good fit.
The demographics are not right for an Apple store here. Louise has in excess of 500 customers in and around the ‘Burg.
