Today the National Federation of Independent Business is hosting a meeting in Harrisonburg for area business owners to voice their concerns and questions about managed health care. The $15 luncheon is being held at the Spotswood Country Club at noon. According to the report on WSVA, 30 local business owners have RSVP’d.

As reported on WSVA, JMU has split freshman arrival dates between tomorrow and Wednesday to help cut down on congestion. The construction on South Main isn’t due to be cleared up before Wednesday.

Earlier this month, the DNR launched two football-related blogs featuring staff sports writers; JMU Football Camp and one for local high school football. The other three blogs — focused on vegetarian dining, bikes, and wine — remain as inactive as they have been for the last year and a half.
