What: 2nd United Way Technology Division Poker Tournament
Where: You Made It! Pottery, downtown Harrisonburg
When: February 19, 7:00PM

On Oct. 18, 2007 the first United Way charity poker tournament was held at You Made It! Pottery. 20 players joined together for a fun night of poker and raised $320 for the United Way. You can read about it here.

Have a regular weekly/monthly poker game? Bring your game to ours for a change of pace and help out a great cause.

Never played poker before? No problem, we have a beginner table and the newbies did pretty good in the last tournament!

Everyone interested in having a good time and helping a good cause is welcome. For a $10 donation you can join the tournament.

Stonewall Jackson Inn has donated two gift certificates for prizes. There are also still some sponsorship spots open for both prizes and food if there are any interested stores or restaurants.

To reserve a seat, or for more information, please email Justin Creasy at justin@immergetech.com. You can view the handout for the event here.

So far we have 20 players who have RSVP’d. This is more than even participated in the last tournament and there’s still 6 days left to register.

If you would like to take part in the tournament please RSVP to me at justin@immergetech.com as soon as you can or else there may be no spots left!

    How’d the tournament go?

Sorry for the late response, I just came across your comment. We had 30 players attend and raised about $600. Many of the players were new since the previous event.

It’s been a hit and a lot of people are asking for more. We are hoping to have a game each quarter.
