the ICE arrests
posted by Brent FinneganJust to clarify: From what information I was able to gather yesterday and today, there were no arrests made at the Cargill plant in Dayton. However, there were several arrests made in Harrisonburg (the DNR’s DeLea says four, this list shows three local indictees), which were connected to the sale and distribution of identification documents.
If what federal officials are saying is true, this is really more about cracking down on ID fraud sales than it is about cracking down on unauthorized immigrants.

According to US Attorney John Brownlee, 4 illegal aliens were at defendants Gomez and Mendez’s residence in Harrisonburg and were arrested at the same time.
Juan (LNU) has been indicted but not located.
So both accounts are technically correct. 3 local indictments, 2 arrests in connection to those. 4 more arrests in execution of a writ of wrong place wrong time.
