Blue Nile open
Posted by Brent Finnegan on April 7th, 2008
As was pointed out a recent comment, Blue Nile, Harrisonburg’s Ethiopian restaurant has re-opened on Main Street between Elizabeth and Wolfe.
Feel free to post your thoughts and reviews in the comments.

Hope to go soon. There’s a coupon on their website.
Yayyyyyyyy! Of course, Ethi joints in Kenya were a mite bit cheaper- six of us could eat for $20….
See you all there!
I was in there Friday night for MACrock and was just amazed. The basement is AWESOME — a great addition to the restaurant. Hopefully they will continue to host live music. It it EXACTLY what Downtown needs.
I agree, John. I was there Friday night to see Maps & Atlases play, and was impressed with the look of the bar. The last time I was there was months ago for a birthday party, and none of that stuff was finished then.
I was there Saturday night for the MACRoCk after party, and they were at max capacity, turning people away at the door.
I’m looking forward to actually eating there.
We just finished dinner there. So good.
Without a doubt it is the best vegetarian food in Harrisonburg.
Little tip: order one of their Ethiopian teas.
Thanks to the person who put up the link for the coupon!
oh YAY!
You’re welcome!
I’ll be DJing in the basement of the Nile tonight till 2am. Its free, so come out and dance yourself silly
Had dinner there last night. Food was AMAZING, prices reasonable (shared the vegetarian platter with friends), and the service great! We also had yummy tea and the hummus appetizer with Ethiopian butter… also amazing!
I went to check out the downstairs lounge on Friday night. Unfortunately MF wasn’t DJing, but the tunes were good none-the-less. Between Clementine’s and BN, I see a lot of basement-dwelling in my future.
Got the grand tour of the upstairs of BN and can’t wait to actually eat there.
Wow the Blue Nile has really set the bar for H-Burg downtown. We visited from Stauton last week..after our wonderful meal we checked out the downstairs bar and ended up staying till almost last call. Really liked the vibe there. We’ll definitely be back!!!
Their website has been updated to include a menu and it looks like a blog may be in the works (no posts yet):
