blogger get-together?

Brent Finnegan -- April 30th, 2008

It’s been almost eleven months since the last one. Any interest in doing one in May? Maybe on the rooftop of Cally’s? Or perhaps a cookout at one of the city parks on a weekend afternoon?

This will be an informal gathering open to all local bloggers, commenters, and readers.

Please only vote if you intend to attend:

I’m totally up for it. My schedule is insane now with my kids sports, but if I know far enough in advance I can make most things work. Tuesday evenings, or weekends are best for me though.

woot. Yes, we’re in too. Cally’s roof is a good choice, as is McAlister’s which I think has a room you can reserve for groups.

I’d love to attend! I just need to know far enough in advance to arrange for a sitter.

I’m game if there is advanced notice. Nobody was injured at our last rooftop event, so whats the point of meeting on a roof…

  6. I don’t have any weekends or evenings free in May. :(

I’m there. Weekends are tough to come by in May, also Tuesday evenings are out for me (unless we want to set up in the back of council chambers? I can’t see anyone complaining about that. I’ve been saying for a while they should turn that little bullpen into a wetbar.).
Any other weekday evening I’ll just ask that it lasts past 7PM.

Count me in, too- evenings would work best for me, but I’m in no position to make demands!

I’m down for that again. Er, I mean, I’m up for that idea. Whatever, if my schedule allows, I’ll be there.

I’ll be there, depending on the date/time. Thanks for organizing this again — I wasn’t a blogger 11 months ago, and thus missed the previous festivities! :)

It seems unlikely that everyone will be able to make it, but I’d like to pick a day that works for most people, so I added a poll. Please only vote if you intend to attend.

I can make anytime work. So I intend to attend but do not want to skew the poll.

Network filter is blocking the poll for me, but M, T, or Th evenings are good for us.

Maybe…just maybe…some if not all of you can make to the AMVETS on Waterman drive May 10th for Wendy Welcome Home Party with free grub and music…if not , that’s OK but you are all welcome. Monday after 3 or any night after 8 is cool w/ me.

Mon – Thurs evenings are good – anywhere there’s cold beer!

That poll oughta have check boxes to answer “What times usually work for you?” Or, for something very fancy, use http://www.meetingwizard.com/ .

  21. Mason says:

Your poll is going to be misleading. I tried to vote for each of the days that would work for me, but I was only allowed to vote once. Most people could work more than one time into their schedule.

I think that, for this purpose, your poll is too clever for its own good. If you could put one up that asked people which days they could NOT attend, and then allow them to check all that apply, it would be a safe bet that whichever date had the fewest votes would be the best time to schedule the shindig.

    True.

Nevermind the poll. That was a dumb idea. I’ll just have to pick a day, check with the restaurant manager (to make sure there’s room) and move ahead with it.

I plan to attend if the day and time work out. Anytime is as good (or bad) as another.

  26. So are we having this blogger get-together tomorrow night or what?

  27. finnegan says:

    No.

I’ve been so busy lately that I’ve barely had time to think about it. I’m looking at Tuesday, June 10 or Tuesday, June 21. I’ll make sure to do that asap.
