Today someone asked me when we were “getting our city back.” I assumed he was referring to the additional cars on the roads.
I just shrugged.
I was surprised today at how easy it was to get around stores and restaurants on a beautiful Saturday. Mid-morning and early afternoon, there was a lot of traffic on the roads but not a lot of people at Harrisonburg Crossing or even Costco. And by the evening, not only was it still easy to park at Target and Red Lobster, but traffic had died down too. Every year I’m amazed when this happens because you forget how it is.
As a side note, the traffic flow patterns they used today seemed to work pretty well from my POV.
