Harrisonburg fire under investigation

Around 4 a.m. Thursday a fire broke out in Harrisonburg’s Rockingham Square Shopping Center in the 1700 block of S. High Street.

Affected businesses include Virginia ABC, Mr. J’s Bagels, New China Restaurant and Movie Gallery. For the most part, the businesses have been completely gutted by the fire.

According to firefighters on the scene, the cause has not yet been determined.
