Vision for Downtown

A presentation by local architect Eugene Stoltzfus, on The Vision for Downtown, will be held on Thursday September 25 at 6:30pm at City Council Chambers, 409 S. Main Street, Harrisonburg. The presentation is open to the public and will also be aired live on City Span, Channel 3 on Comcast Cable for citizens to watch from home.

Richard Clarke, former chief counter-terrorism adviser on the U.S. National Security Council, will be speaking at the Court Square Theater this Sunday evening. Clarke will host, appearing with Denis McDonough, Sen. Tom Daschle’s former foreign policy adviser. They will be discussing and promoting Barack Obama’s foreign policy plan.

From JMU Public Affairs: HARRISONBURG – Demolition of Veterans Memorial Stadium at the former Harrisonburg High School will begin at noon on Monday, Sept. 22. The aging facility will be replaced by a new softball / baseball complex but will retain the Veterans Memorial Stadium name.
