The registration deadline is “close of business” today (Mon 6 Octo). A widely-publicized weblink to SBE (State Board of Elections) where one finds online registration forms was wrong. “sbe.virginia.gov” was all over the airwarves, but this is one of the few websites where the intital three double-yous actually matter: MUST be typed as http://www.sbe.virginia.gov or else it goes to a page-not-found error.
If that’s too hard to remember, public radio station WMRA links directly to the form (note it is a .pdf so you’ll need that Adobe reader software or some such) on their website: wmra.org (double-yous not needed). The link is on wmra’s front page along the left side. Happy registration.
