Wish I could be there. I guess it was a conflict between going at a time when many people could join them (like a weekend), and going at a time when many people would see them (on a weekday).
If you haven’t yet expressed your opinion on this matter to our governor and state-level legislators, I encourage you to do so.
I wasn’t able to make it, but everyone here at Immerge has nothing but support for Gemeinschaft. It’s a fantastic group that does fantastic work. Budgets are difficult, but this is one group that should never be cut.
Let’s just put it this way, if you’re gonna vote to lock more people up then you had better vote for a smart way to discharge them when they’re finished. Simple valley logic
Staffers, volunteers and residents of Gemeinschaft are in front of the Harrisonburg Crossings Wal-Mart today and tomorrow getting signatures and answering questions about Gemeinschaft Home, if you’re out and about. There’s a fundraising initiative with the local Pizza Hut as well.
