Blacks Run/ Downtown CleanUp Day will be on Saturday April 11. The GreenScene  will be bigger than ever with many fun exhibits and activities including an Alternative Fuels Car Show, Recycle Relays, Story times, and Guided Stream Walks. A full schedule of events is available here. This year, CleanUp Day is also Virginia Green Event Certified.

In the June 9 primary, to choose nominees for governor, turnout based on historical precedent will be fewer in Harrisonburg than voted for Roger Baker, who lost, for city council. More people will go to work at JMU, or RMH, or Cargill, than will vote. What would you do to change that?

Rosetta Stone Going Public

There was speculation in September that Rosetta Stone would move forward with an initial public offering to trade on Wall Street. Today, the WSJ and Reuters are reporting that RS is expected to go public — 6.25 million shares at $15-$17 each — by mid-April. (via Harrisonblog)
