hburgnews turns 3

Brent Finnegan -- July 17th, 2009

Today marks hburgnews’ three year anniversary. We have some big changes in the works. We’re organizing to expand our network this fall to turn hburgnews into a sustainable, community-driven news network. Our goal is to provide the residents of the city of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County with a more interactive platform to participate in news reporting and analysis.

But we’re going to need your help. We have major projects and initiatives ahead, and they will rely on the participation of readers. So stay tuned…

Big props to Brent of course, but also to everyone else who contributes through posts and comments. This site has been a powerful tool for the community in the three years it has existed. I’m looking forward to all the improvements!

Yes, happy birthday h’burg news. As an X-Burger this is how I keep up on what is going on up there. Many stories still effect me down here in Augusta.
I sometimes wish I still lived up there so I would have another excuse to go out and eat. I miss being a food critic.

  13. Drew Richard says:

Congrats Brent! Thanks for all the time and hard work. And good luck with all the upcoming improvements.
