Unemployment Down

Harrisonburg’s unemployment numbers for August are just slightly below the state average of 6.5 percent. They’re down from 7.3 percent in July.

Today WSVA reported:

Rockingham County sported the area’s best rate at 5.3 percent. Augusta County was next lowest at 5.7 percent followed by Harrisonburg at 6.2 percent.

According to Google’s graph, there was a similar drop between July and September of last year.
