Reimagining hburgnews

Brent Finnegan -- February 26th, 2010

Chris Gillis designLast month hburgnews reader Chris Gillis created a mock-up of a redesign of this blog. It’s conceptual (not in-the-works) but I like it and wanted to share it.

We’re interested in hearing your ideas for improving the site.

We’ve been working on a new version of the website, using Flash News as a basic template, but nothing is finalized yet. We’re running months and months behind where we wanted to be, but that’s the way ad-free, no-money blogs work.

A few of us will be meeting this weekend to try to get more organized, and move hburgnews forward.

What would you like to see on a new hburgnews? More importantly, what are you willing to do to help make it happen? Could you design a logo? Could you guest blog for a week?

(Thanks, Chris)

Looks awesome!! I’m wondering what happened to the logo(s) we all voted on? Has that gone by the wayside?

  3. I got lots of feedback about the logo, and I thought it would be best to start over (keeping the winning design from the last vote in the running) but let other local graphic designers take a shot at it, and we’ll all vote again.

I don’t really have anything to offer for a prize, but I’m open to suggestions.

If you know any local artists/designers that might be interested, please have them contact us.

Love the logo, love the design, and I guess I like Chris well enough.
