Harrisonburg City Council member Ted Byrd is the third Republican to officially announce interest in competing for his party’s nomination to run for the soon-to-be-vacant 26th district House of Delegates seat in the upcoming special election.

Byrd joins Tony Wilt of Broadway, and Harrisonburg attorney John Elledge on the “firehouse primary” ballot, scheduled to take place at Lacey Spring Elementary on the evening of April 20.
