Three Proposals For One Court Square

Brent Finnegan -- June 1st, 2010

In February, we reported on Harrisonburg’s RFP for One Court Square. The building has been vacant for years, and the city wants to put it back to use. According to a story in today’s Daily News-Record, the city received three proposals on April 16. Jeff Mellott reports that no deadline has been set to make a decision on the best proposal.

The city has withheld the details of the proposals.

The three bids came from Downtown Renaissance LC of Harrisonburg, Moreland Property Group of Richmond and Brian Wishneff & Associates.

  1. I sure hope giant ball pool and hamster maze is one of the proposals.

  2. Bill says:

I would love to see a nice hotel downtown

  3. Gene says:

I would love to see a high class bar or an entertainment venue downtown or a comedy club but I may be biased lol

  4. Brandon says:

Sorry to be pessimist but it will stay empty if sold to any of those 3 most likely. Curious to know if any of the same people are involved in 1 or even 2 of the other bidders? Manipulation? Wouldn’t be surprised. This may be just like certain people/persons that wanted the upcoming delegate voting only in 2 locations? Just a “what if”?
