Crash Results In DUI Manslaughter Charge

Brent Finnegan -- August 25th, 2010

A single-vehicle crash in Rockingham County early Wednesday morning resulted in the death of the passenger. The driver, Anthony Cesar, has been charged with aggravated DUI manslaughter and is being held without bond at the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Regional Jail.

The crash victim was identified as 26-year-old Jennifer Moreland of Lynchburg. TV3 reported:

The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on Sky Road, off of Singers Glen Road.

Police say a Volkswagen Jetta heading north on Sky Road ran off the left shoulder and hit an embankment. It came to rest on its passenger side.

Moreland “Kitten Vicious” was a member of the Rocktown Rollers derby team. Fans have been leaving condolences on the Rollers’ Facebook page all day.
