Harrisonburg and Charlottesville Talk Bicycles

Thanh -- October 27th, 2010

Last week, six out of the seven members of the group who traveled from Harrisonburg to Davis, CA in March 2010 to learn about bicycle facilities traveled to Charlottesville, VA to give a presentation to Bike Charlottesville and the City of Charlottesville’s Mayor and staff members.

The March 2010 trip has been reported several times on hburgnews. Since March, the group has given presentations to City Council, to James Madison University’s Institute for the Natural World‘s Campus Accessibility Committee, and community presentations at the Blue Nile during Earth Week and at Court Square Theater during Bike Month.

Much has also happened in Harrisonburg since the March 2010 trip:

The full podcast of the presentation is available on Charlottesville Tomorrow’s website. The powerpoint presentation containing lots of pictures is available here.
