Downtown Holiday Parade 2010

Downtown Harrisonburg will host its annual Holiday Parade tonight at 7 p.m.  The festivities start at 4 p.m. with the Holidays on the Square events and conclude with a tree lighting ceremony and performance by JMU’s Royal Marching Dukes following the parade.

Those who plan to be downtown this afternoon should be aware of street closings, which will start at 3 p.m.

    need to slow the entries down so people can see them! some of the kids missed Santa because of the pace

    The Staunton Christmas parade clocked in at nearly 1 hr. and 40 minutes on Monday night. As cold as it is and for all the people with small children, I say keep it moving! Sounds like Harrisonburg was better organized to me.
