Gravity Group Announces ‘Brand Challenge’ For Local Nonprofits

Press Release -- January 7th, 2011

Gravity Group, a Harrisonburg-based branding and marketing communications agency, announced the 1st Annual Gravity Group Brand Challenge on Thursday, January 6th, during the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet. The goal of the Brand Challenge is to “help a local nonprofit organization increase the power of their brand by providing a free brand assessment and customized brand/marketing solution.”

The Brand Challenge is open to small nonprofit organizations in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County area, and Gravity Group is accepting entries on their website or through their Facebook page. It is encouraged that interested nonprofits provide specific information on their current situation, goals, and marketing needs. Entries should be submitted by March 1st, 2011, and a winner will be selected by mid-March.

Gravity Group developed this program to help organizations that serve the community. “Being a small nonprofit is hard,” says Steve Gilman, President of Gravity Group. “Over the years, all of us at Gravity have been associated with nonprofit organizations in some way, and we’ve always wanted to do more than we’ve been able to. So, this is our way of giving back a bit.”
