Elections Nov 7: Clerk of Court, Senate, Delegates…

Sunday, September 23, 2007

There appears to be interest from several hburgnews readers to discuss the upcoming elections. Of particular interest to many is the Clerk of Court race. I must be honest and admit that I am not very familiar with the race, so I am posting here to open up discussion, as an opportunity for me and […]

clerk of court jester

Tuesday, February 27, 2007

The race for Clerk of Court is beginning to look like a clown car at an auto dealership, which is to say there are too many people running for this one office, and not enough people running for other offices.

The Death of Jeff White

Monday, March 2, 2009

News and rumors of Jeff White’s death have been swirling on Facebook and Twitter for about 24 hours. Saturday, December 29, 2007

If you read today’s DNR story about Chaz Evans-Haywood taking office as Clerk of Court, you’ll find no mention of his former challenger, Deputy Clerk, Dianne Fulk. But WSVA reports: Dianne Fulk has been let go from her position as deputy clerk in the office. The dismissal is effective on December 31st.

Thursday, December 20, 2007

Thursday, November 8, 2007

This is a crosspost from my new blog, The Friendly City, which will in some small way try to fill the gap left by Republitarian’s exit from blogging. Which is to say, it’ll be more opinionated than hburgnews. Here is a selection of the earnings potential for various types of public service. Obviously this is […]
