Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance launched the third annual Picture Downtown poster contest. This student-only competition accepts 2-D artistic interpretations of downtown Harrisonburg to be judged by a panel of artists and Arts Council of the Valley representatives.

Performing Arts Center Announces Community Open Houses

JMU’s new Forbes Center for the Performing Arts is hosting free open house tours and events for the Harrisonburg community on Sunday, Sept. 26, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Arts Council of the Valley has been hosting First Fridays Downtown (formerly called Museum & Gallery Walks), April through October of this year.  The August event is this Friday, August 6th, 5 – 7pm.
