Harrisonburg Farmer’s Market mushroom vendor and Linville resident, Orv Lehman, has been named as a finalist in PETA’s “Sexiest Vegetarian Over 50 Contest.” According to a press release from PETA, the organization received hundreds of entries nationwide for the over-50 category. PETA selected 10 men, including Lehman, and 10 women to be finalists.

If you’ve been to the Harrisonburg Farmers Market more than once, chances are you’ve seen him. Clarence Dellinger, the vendor with glasses, long white hair and a wild beard, is about to turn 90. He has been growing and selling local produce in downtown Harrisonburg for 50 years.
The Harrisonburg Farmer’s Market announced on its blog today that the market will now be open 3 times per week, with a new session on Thursday evenings from 4 to 7 pm being added to the original Tuesday and Saturday morning sessions, June through September.
