No Charges Yet In Harris Gardens Murder

It’s been two weeks since Janet Bonilla, a pregnant mother of three, was shot to death in the parking lot at the Harris Gardens apartment complex in Harrisonburg. Since then, the police have released several updates confirming that investigators are working on the case, but as of this week, no charges have been filed.

State Senators Mark Obenshain and Emmett Hanger have co-sponsored a bill in Richmond that defines “independent and separate existence” of an infant regardless of whether the umbilical cord has been cut.
