Health Care Vigil Held As Senate Drops Public Option

Supporters of national health care reform that includes a “public option” huddled on the steps of the Harrisonburg court house yesterday evening, holding a candlelight vigil just as word leaked from Capitol Hill that the Democrats had compromised/caved on the government-run public option.

As the fight over the Democrats’ health care bill is being hotly debated in the U.S. Senate, some local supporters of the proposed reforms are planning a vigil on the court house steps for Tuesday, December 8 at 5:30.
